Great Oaks

Project Details

The existing backyard landscape of this 1992 home had a number of renovations throughout the years that were deteriorating and not responsive to the architecture of the home. Leka Design was engaged to create a more functional entertainment space with a cohesive design language.¬† It was also important to the client that the design approach met budgetary¬† goals while celebrating the views of the remnant oak savanna. Working closely with the client, we developed a thermally modified ash “Infinity” deck that appears to be a self supporting “L”, and existing hardscapes were inventoried, stockpiled and reused in the design.
